Uvodo eCommerce platform

Uvodo was built to provide a simple and easy-to-use eCommerce platform for micro and small entrepreneurs who want to sell products online. It supports both digital and physical products. The goal was to make the platform as user-friendly as possible, especially for people starting their first online business. Unlike other platforms, Uvodo makes payments easier because users don’t need to set up accounts like Stripe. Uvodo handles all payments and splits them without charging extra fees.

Challenges

One big challenge was making the platform easy for non-technical users to understand and use. Many people starting their first online store need a platform that handles things like global payments and taxes without too much input from them.

Solutions

We automated the payment and tax processes so users don’t have to worry about these details. We made sure the design was simple, clean, and easy to navigate, especially for people using the platform on mobile devices.

As the Head of Product, I was responsible for the whole project from start to finish. I led the design and development teams and worked closely with them to make sure everything was easy to use for our audience. I also helped create the Uvodo Planum design system, which was used to keep the platform’s design consistent.

I managed the day-to-day work of two designers and a technical team, make sure that the product met the needs of the target users.

Design handoff

I created handoff documents to my engineer providing details for every screen that requires context and organized them into flows to streamline their understanding. I also worked closely with them to make sure they understand the details throughout the process.
